My Journey

My dear friends,This is my first post as a blogger and here I would wish to share the initial days of my struggle as a music director....It was the 31st day of May in the year 1996 when I professionally devoted my self to this profession and joined a very famous Music director of Punjab,Mr.Tejwant Kittu,as a.........I dont know what..... Yes even I did not know what I would do in the studio,in his recordings.Actually the story begins even three more years back when I was studying in 11th grade in a very renowned and perhaps one of the best schools of Ludhiana......Kundan Vidya Mandir.Mr.Kittu,(apart from his Music Directorial persue), used to be the Music teacher there at that time, and fortunately I used to have the honour to be his favourite student.....I also used to sing as a backing vocalist in his initial albums....This is how I came to know him....Well coming back to the real story.....One fine morning Mr.Kittu called me up at my landline number as the Mobile phones had not come to existence till then and asked me what I had been doing after 12th board exams and asI was working somewhere,I told him the same. The greatness of that man is that he immediately asked me to join him as a musician because his logic was "if u want to work then why not do something of ur interest?"The idea was great and I took no time to decide............And guys this is how I started my journey as a musician.

  1. Oh man, you remind me of all those good old tough, critical days of our lives. I remember your initial struggle when you wouldnt come home (which was just 3 to 4 kms from studio), many a times, for 3 days at a stretch and even working late nights. And I used to be at your home during my free periods from college, aunty making me "stuffed pranthas with malai" when you were out there working hard.
You made several new friends during that period and we couldnt meet up so often. For a long period, during this transition time, I used to miss our evening geries (bike rides of Ludhiana's posh areas) and your company and the silly talks we had.
But then I'm happy, it paid off, your working hard. I'm happy now that you are at a level from where you can see the whole world and the world can see you as a whole. Moreover, I'm happy because I get to share your time these days more often....old days are back with a difference.....difference for good.
Cheers buddy and more power to you.
